John Dicks receives a military endorsement at this year’s 85th National Convention of the Marine Corps League in Orlando, Florida

John Dicks, Democratic Congressional candidate from Florida’s 9th District, received a solid endorsement from the 15th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, John L. Estrada, at this year’s 85th National Convention of the Marine Corps League (MCL) held in Orlando, Florida.

He also met with the Marine Corps League’s National Commandant, Jack Ryan and the Executive Director, Michael Blum, at a breakfast meeting to discuss the critical needs of the active duty military and Veterans. Following his discussions, Dicks said the needs of the nation’s military will receive his top priority attention. “These brave men and women of America’s Armed Forces are doing a tremendous job for our nation. I am committed to helping our Veterans, active duty military members and their families.”

John L. Estrada, 15th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps and guest speaker at the MCL Convention, said of Dicks, “He is a passionate supporter of military issues. I’m certain he will be a powerful advocate to the nation’s Veterans and our active duty servicemen and women when he is elected in November.”

Dicks is committed to the welfare of all Veterans and active duty military to insure they receive adequate compensation and improvements in GI Bill benefits. His son graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis this year and he entered the Marine Corps as a second lieutenant.

Dicks was recently strongly endorsed by the Tampa Tribune. He vows to work for lower gas prices by placing tighter limits on leveraged investments in oil futures. He also believes that undocumented immigrants should be fined and not be allowed to become U.S. citizens until they learn English and American civics.
